Volcom Retail Visual Merchandising Supervisor - Liberated HQ in Costa Mesa, California

What you’ll do:

•Execute and maintain merchandising standards for men’s, women’s, and kid’s clothing and accessories

•Travel to and support new store openings by executing brand visual standards

•Maintain floor appearance by receiving, checking, and shelving merchandise

•Maintain store cleanliness by keeping areas organized and uncluttered

•Uphold and enforce company policies, procedures, and corporate directives

•Partners with Store and District Manager on key visual merchandising decisions that have an impact on store workload and sales.

•Execute store opening and closing procedures and be highly responsible for the store keys and security measures

•Give basic coaching to Retail Associates as needed

•Help build product-knowledge driven sales culture, sharing your knowledge of our industry, eco-initiatives, and high-quality product to Associates and Customers

•Represent brand with actions and knowledge of product

•Inform customers of current sales and promotions

•Collaborate with your team and delegate as needed to complete assigned tasks

•Contribute to a fun, organized, efficient environment and lead by example

•Perform other duties as assigned

What you’ll need:

•High school graduate or equivalent

•1-2 year(s) experience with visual merchandising in an apparel store

•Strong visual merchandising skills and excellent eye for detail

•Strong time management and organizational skills

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to understand and interpret visual merchandising tools and direction

•Ability to offer solutions to store specific visual and merchandising challenges using brand standards and HQ direction as a guideline

•Ability to identify potential Visual Merchandising opportunities and provide creative solutions.

•Familiarity with the brand and action sports industry

•Be an effective team player

•Strong ethical behavior

Job Requirements:

•Ability to travel up to 30%

•Flexible schedule; ability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays

•Ability to transport and position a maximum of 50 lbs

•Ability to effectively maneuver around sales floor and stockroom, including repetitive bending, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing

•Ability to stand (or remain in a stationary position) for long periods of time

•Great communication skills with customers, store team, and corporate
