PURPOSE OF JOB:

To promote a positive, professional image of Financial Partners Credit Union via NCR Interactive Teller video channel. Provide excellent service to all members of the credit union by identifying product and service solutions to meet their financial needs. Accurately and efficiently process a variety of cash and check transactions for members, assist members with information about their accounts, and resolve issues/problems. Assist Personal Teller Leadership in providing approvals and overrides to Personal Teller Team.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately process transactions for members, including but not limited to: Cashing checks, issuing Official Checks and Money Orders, receiving deposits, completing payments, processing cash withdrawals, transferring between shares, pay off and pay down of loans, conducting information inquiries and account research

  • Effectively communicate with Credit Union members via video sessions -- always ensuring that the responses are clear, concise, and grammatically correct -- to promote a positive, professional image of Financial Partners Credit Union

  • Provide solutions to members by identifing member needs, presenting solutions using benefit statements, and asking for the business

  • Validate member identity using Credit Union security procedures

  • Use of good judgment when accepting negotiable items to minimize risk of loss or risk exposure

  • Standards for number of video sessions per hour are met or exceeded while maintaining a high level of member service

  • Balance teller transactions at the conclusion of each work shift

  • All applicable policies, procedures and practices are followed

  • Attend training classes offered by Learning & Development or approved by Department Management

  • Must meet or exceed established sales, referral, and service goals

  • Be present. Adhere to break and lunch schedule and maintain attendance within department policy guidelines

  • Assist Personal Teller Team Leads with day-to-day operation of Personal Teller Center

  • Assist Personal Teller Team Leads in providing approvals and overrides to Personal Tellers, within established limits

  • Aid in completing routine reviews of teller sessions, with an observation tool, to promote a positive and professional image of Financial Partners Credit Union

  • Aid in reviewing daily reports for approvals, dormancy, and overrides

  • Assist with ensuring applicable policies, procedures, and practices are followed within the department

  • May handle escalated issues within the Personal Teller Center, including fee reversals, check hold decisions, and member concerns

  • Satisfactorily resolves member service complaints, both verbally and in writing

  • Identify inefficiencies within the department and make recommendations to Personal Teller Center Leadership

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate's Degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Prior retail service, teller and/or call center experience

  • Must be able to handle high volume of transactions in a fast paced video banking environment

  • Must be comfortable, professional, and friendly on camera

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, reason, problem solve, and prioritize work independently

  • Must be able to communicate complex financial issues and instill confidence in the Credit Union to a wide variety of audiences with varying degrees of technical expertise

  • Must be able to learn and use a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office, Video Banking, and various Credit Union processing systems/applications simultaneously

  • Ability to multi-task by operating multiple monitors and software systems at the same time

  • Previous banking or Credit Union experience is required

  • Must be service experts who give exemplary member service in all interactions

The pay range for this position is listed above. Our pay ranges are designed to allow for candidates with various levels of experience and skill to be considered, and to allow room for growth to be achieved in a role over time. Generally, new hire salary offers fall within the minimum to midpoint of a pay range for many candidates. Any offer extended to a candidate will be based upon their individual combination of experience, knowledge, skills, and education as well as internal equity.
