Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position. Assess and implement plans to monitor the robustness of all current product lines and products for all business units within McWane Ductile Develop protocol to monitor and qualify the robustness of vendors and potential vendors. Monitor competitive landscape and with Vice-President of Sales and Marketing and Senior Vice President, determine the need for new and/or refined products. Use internal and external resources as necessary to guide product development. Overesee technical aspects of product design Monitor new manufacturing technology. Monitor new production methods, technology and education opportunities to strengthen and deepen exposure to all business units within McWane Ductile Assess and implement plans to address areas of overall technical knowledge that can benefit all business units within McWane Ductile Participate in technical seminars, technical committees on behalf of McWane and McWane Ductile. Participate in field studies and resolutions as required. Participate in DIPRA technical committee functions for McWane Ductile Implement tooling roster and determine tooling strategies for products outside of pipe molds and core boxes. Provide written regular updates on progress of projects. Ability to build and network with others. Strong oral and written communication skills Work independently with minimum of supervision. Work in a team environment where honest communication, a positive attitude, engagement, and personal accountability are expected. Work off-shifts, weekends, and extended shifts (i.e., 12 hrs.).
