Responsibilities Summary: Oversee and improve production processes in the manufacturing facilities. Engineering aptitude, a high attention to detail, and the ability to optimize production processes for maximum efficiency are necessary skills. Oversees the work of vendors and contractors in the completion of work. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position. Lead root cause analysis of quality and production issues. Develops and improves manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods. Lead development of corrective actions and validate results. Increase production efficiency by working with the production team to identify and eliminate waste in the process. Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs; applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, and materials; conferring with equipment vendors; soliciting observations from operators. Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors. Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
