The incumbent manages workflow, supervises and reviews the work of subordinate staff and is responsible for the final approval or disapproval of a determination. The Senior Social Welfare Examiner performs case related duties on an as needed basis, and assists in resolving more complex issues. The work is performed under the general supervision of a senior staff member, with leeway permitted for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out the details of the work. Does related work as required.Work Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, with benefitsSalary: $23.0509-$29.1766/HR (CSEA Union)Location: Cortland County Department of Social ServicesStatus: Competitive, Promotional, ProvisionalBenefits: New York State Retirement System, Low Deductible Health Insurance Plan, Generous Paid Time Off including 13 Paid Holidays, Tuition Assistance available after one year of service.
