The incumbent performs a variety of keyboarding activities including data entry and transcribing patient or client-care notes. Specific duties vary with the needs of the department. Procedures are usually fixed but detailed instructions are given for new or difficult assignments. The work is performed according to defined procedures and policies under the direct supervision of a Senior Medical Services Clerk or other higher-level employee. Work is reviewed by direct observation, checking completed work, periodic or spot checks, crosschecking or other steps in the clerical process. Does related work as required.Work Hours: Full-time, 35 hours per week, with benefitsSalary: $18.4165-23.3107/HR (CSEA Union)Location: Cortland County Mental Health Department (Reception for Outpatient Mental Health Clinic)Status: Competitive, ProvisionalBenefits: New York State Retirement System, Low Deductible Health Insurance Plan, Generous Paid Time Off Including 13 Paid Holidays, Tuition Assistance available after one (1) year of employment.
