There is an opening for a Mechanical Engineer at Ellwood National Forge in Corry, PA, however from time to time maybe assigned to work at the Irvine/Warren plants. The Engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, the following: Managing of Capital equipment projects (new and re-builds), configuration, justification, location, installation and start-up Trouble shooting of equipment and in-house processes as required Developing and assisting with implementation of new and improved manufacturing methods Interface with and support production to achieve "Best in Class" practices Devise and implement process improvements and cost reduction Assist maintenance to improve equipment reliability and productivity Setting clear expectations for team members and evaluate needs of team Solve organizational and production problems. Research, develop, collect and report information on the ability and capacity of company products and competing equipment. Performs other duties as deemed necessary. Minimum Qualifications 4 year degree in Manufacturing Technology or Engineering or related field Experience in metal cutting operations Basic understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Computer skills (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Syteline) Ability to work independently (self-directed) on projects Ability to lead and direct team efforts Strong math skills and problem solving ability Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience with installation and commission of newly purchased equipment and relocation of refurbished/existing equipment Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects Preferred Qualifications Prior experience with medium and large machine tool builder and /or refurbishing operations Maintenance background BSME / BSMET EIT Certification CAM experience ( Mastercam) Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities /sexual orientation/gender identity.Qualifications
