Job Information

Amentum Security Guard in Corpus Christi, Texas

The successful Guard I protects property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference. The primary duty is to observe and report security and emergency situations. Intervenes directly only in situations which require minimal action to safeguard property or persons.

Essential Responsibilities:

· Carries out detailed instructions and procedures primarily oriented to ensure that emergencies and security violations are readily discovered and reported to the appropriate authority.

· Serves at a fixed post, making rounds on foot or by motor vehicle, or escorting persons or property.

· May be deputized to make arrests and may help visitors and customers by answering questions and giving directions.

· May be required to demonstrate proficiency in the use of firearms and other special weapons and continuing physical fitness.

· Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

· Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

· Lift/push/pull minimum of fifty (50) pounds.

· Distinguish color and judge three-dimensional depth.

· Working environment will be both office and outdoor settings which individual can be exposed to extreme weather conditions for extended periods.

· Ability to operate flight line vehicle.

· Good written communication and phone skills.

· One (1) year experience in Security is preferred.

Minimum Requirements

· Must be able to work weekends & holidays.

· Must be able obtain/maintain any company/government required qualification, certification, licensing, or security clearance.

· Must have valid state driver’s license.

· Must be able to work any assigned shift or schedule.

· High School Diploma/GED

· Must know proper safety procedures concerning fuel leaks and other hazardous materials.

· Must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident
