Pay Rate: $115K-$130K

This Senior Oracle Developer position in the Information Technology Department of sporting goods retailer Sportsman's Warehouse is responsible for direct technical development and lifecycle management of Sportsman’s software applications [both in-house developed and 3rd party supplied] and managed services. The Senior Oracle Developer will interface directly with the larger IT organization and business partners to ensure business needs are met. This position is key to driving advancements in the business through dynamic and flexible software development and service improvements.

Job Duties: Perform software development tasks in an Oracle database environment.

Provide expertise in Oracle technologies like PL/SQL, SQL, forms, reports, or applications.

Complete software development projects according to outlined scope and timeline. Work with Business and IT Partners to determine and define software development project scope and objectives.

Manage core development of Sportsman’s interface tools and custom-built applications.

Integrate software from multiple third-party vendors with Oracle EBS. Interface with third party vendor technical teams during project phases, especially for integrated services and software projects.

Utilize industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout SDLC.

Develop and document SDLC processes to be used across the software development team. Work cooperatively in an environment of shared technical resources.

Solve software development problems creatively.

Pertinent Working Conditions: This position is considered sedentary. While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard, reach, stoop, kneel to install/move computer equipment. The employee may be required to exert up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near acuity at 20 inches or less due to computer work. The employee will experience a moderate noise level (i.e. business office with computers, phone, and printers, light traffic. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

Position Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or a related field;

At least 3 years experience in Oracle technologies like PL/SQL, QL, forms or reports;

At least 3 years of professional software development expertise.

Travel Requirements:

This position does not require travel.
