Director of Respiratory / Cardiopulmonary located at Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA

The Director of Respiratory Therapy has overall responsibility for the administration of care and life-support systems to patients with deficiencies and abnormalities of the pulmonary system. Directs all in-patient and outpatient respiratory services. Keeps informed of developments in pulmonary care services. Responsibility for administering services, which provide diagnostic and technical support to physicians, involved in assessing the functions of patients. Assigns, supervises, and coordinates technical and clerical personnel engaged in diagnostic and laboratory procedures involving the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disorders.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialtiy.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree from an accredited College or University required in related field. Master's degree from an accredited College or University preferred in related field. Five (5) to Seven (7) years of clinical experience in Respiratory Care with demonstrated management or leadership abilities and acute care experience required .

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES: Current California Respiratory Care Practitioner license required. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR Certification through the American Heart Association required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification through the American Heart Association required.

As of July 10, 2019, must possess Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential granted by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and maintain credential throughout employment tenure
