Job Description

We are currently sourcing an Site Engineering Manager to join our high performing diverse site leadership team, reporting to our Site Director, Carrigtwohill, Cork. The Site Engineering Manager is the site's key manager for the management of all engineering, maintenance, facility, utility, calibration, and automation activities related to manufacturing of current products and new product launches.

In this role, you will lead, coach and mentor the engineering team for the Cork site, maximizing equipment and process efficiencies through minimal un-planned equipment downtime achieved through proactive and predictive maintenance programs.

Here is a snapshot of your responsibilities:

  • Build, develop and mentor a team of diverse professionals within your function.

  • Partner with the Senior Leadership team to execute on site and enterprise-wide engineering strategies.

  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure product availability, with full alignment to production plan while driving continuous improvements to sustain Operational Excellence and improved financial performance across your team.

  • Ensure the development and delivery of engineering organizational vision and strategic objectives.

  • Take responsibility for Health & Safety, as well as the core Environmental and Energy Sustainability Programs within the engineering function.

  • Develop senior level relationships to resolve critical issues, deliver cost savings, and implement value-added processes ensuring site Maintenance Excellence Program (MEP) metrics are consistently achieved.

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement projects in the engineering function.

  • Work with the quality system ensuring that the site quality policy and GMP and GDP is fully complied with on a continuous basis.

  • Contribute to the development of Global Engineering, i.e. become an active participant of the global engineering initiatives.

  • Champion and lead Culture & Engagement and EEDI initiatives within the engineering function and across the site.

Qualifications

So, what education & experience do you need to succeed?

  • You will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or science with 10 years plus experience in engineering management.

  • 5 year + People Management with demonstrated ability to develop key talent and to set clear vision and strategy for your team

  • Experience of Condition Monitoring and Predictive Monitoring Programs

  • OPEX Black / Green belt certified preferred

  • Experience in engaging, collaborating, and influencing at senior leadership level

  • Ability to think outside the box and provide solutions through structured trouble shooting methodologies.
