SCQ Staff Engineer DTx Continuous Improvement (m/f/d)

Location: Cork, Ireland

JOB SUMMARY

MedTech Supply Chain Quality Staff Engineer will lead implementation of Quality Excellence programs across MedTech Quality to drive growth, delivery, quality, and cost improvements. They will be responsible for implementation of the process improvements, efficiency projects, procedures simplification, introduction of new technologies and establishment of new business operating model involving multiple sites and functions. They will interface with various cross-functional stakeholders and will coordinate and execute internal & external improvement opportunities. They will lead process improvement implementation in achieving target outcomes which includes chartering, metrics identification, planning detailed schedule, milestones, risk identification & mitigation of risks including coordinating and execution of change management and communication plans. Through stakeholder interfaces, they will capture and translate customer insights into solutions including conducting internal and external benchmarking in surfacing best practices for adoption.

In addition to implementation of Quality Excellence programs leveraging process excellence tools & methodologies, they will be responsible for building and coaching local teams on adoption of new practices and skill that will help sustain improvements.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops process improvement projects and roadmaps in alignment with MedTech transformation strategies, framework and playbook.

  • Identifies process optimization opportunities that help deliver target transformation maturity and value

  • Leads current state mapping workshop that will identify efficiencies projects including creating supporting business cases

  • Leads cross-functional alignment on prioritization and execution plan for improvements and simplification solutions.

  • Plans, coordinates and leads all aspects of project roadmap through effective project governance.

  • Establishes, monitors and tracks performance measures (deliverables, efficiency and financials).

  • Develops and manages stakeholder change management and communication plans

  • Participate in program governance meeting and provide updates on progress and project communications.

  • Establishes, local governance to track execution, and remove roadblocks to enable successful delivery of project commitments.

  • Guides core team members on successfully delivery of project commitments

  • Deploy and utilizes effective project risk management tools for successfully delivery of program commitments.

  • Support budget cycle (LRFP, JU, BP, NU) to accommodate business needs

Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant scientific/technical field

EXPERIENCE

  • A minimum of 4 years related work experience

  • Experience leading process optimization in the regulated healthcare industry

  • Demonstrated experience in process improvement initiatives with cross-functional, diverse, global teams using PEx Methodology

  • Experience with developing innovative approaches to Quality challenges in a fast-paced, changing global environment

  • Demonstrated experience in effective project management

  • Strong communication and change management skills

  • Ability to zoom-in and zoom-out for strategic and tactical activities

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES and AFFILIATIONS

  • Proficient technical writing skills

  • Experience in site and global project management via FPX methodology

  • Certified PEx Green Belt or Black Belt

  • Ability to work autonomously in scenarios with some ambiguity & handle multiple tasks is required.

  • Able to manage complex strategic programs with multiple stakeholders.

  • Able to provide outcome-based/value-driven focus to the organization.

  • Strong negotiation, communication, and change management skills.

  • Proven success in influencing highly successful teams.

  • Capable of building strong partnerships across segments & regions, acting as the mediator between organizations while optimizing the value proposition.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead cross functional teams.

  • Strong relationship development, conflict resolution, and team building instincts, with the ability to build partnerships both internally and externally.

  • Makes the customer central to all thinking.

  • Ability to coach talent on Quality Engineering principles and practices.

  • Statistics and sampling knowledge strongly preferred.

  • Fluent verbal and written English communication skills; other language skills advantageous.

LOCATION & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

30-40% travel with regional reach
