As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

Qualcomm’s GPUs can be found in all these examples. In fact, Qualcomm ships more GPUs than anyone in the world, and we’re looking for talented candidates for its Graphics Infrastructure team to help us build the next generation of these devices.

As a member of the Graphics Infrastructure team, you’ll touch all aspects of GPU development, and coordinate with multiple technology teams to build and operate flows, tools, and procedures so that we can successfully commercialize our technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical/Electronic Engineering.

  • Strong Python software development skills.

  • Experience developing with C/C++ Strong debugging skills.

We would love to see

  • Experience with either or both Windows and Linux command line development.

  • Experience developing build systems (CMake, MSBuild, GNU Make)

  • Embedded development and AOSP experience is a plus.

  • Experience with Graphics APIs a plus.

  • Deep understanding of version control a plus.

  • Solid understanding of DevOps and/or IT concepts (Firewalls, Kubernetes, filesystems, SSO, etc.)

  • Constant willingness to learn and adopt new technologies to solve interesting problems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and to deliver within scheduled timelines.

Responsibilities will include

  • Creating next generation build system capable of building our graphics software across OSes and target systems.

  • Writing and test Infrastructure and productivity code to augment existing internal tools and frameworks.

  • Collaborating with peers and stakeholders to review design and drive execution.

  • Actively participate in code reviews to make sure the coding standards and policies are thoroughly vetted.

  • Triaging framework/system issues to root cause at source and provide analysis
