Nexeo Staffing Safety and Environmental Engineer in CORINNE, Utah
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety and Environment Engineer to join our dynamic team at the Promontory (PRO) Facility. In this role,you will be instrumental in maintaining a safe,healthy,and productive workplace environment. With a focus on collaboration,innovation,and continuous improvement,you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our operations while ensuring the safety and well-being of our employees.
Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with operations and facility managers to identify,assess,and mitigate risks in day-to-day operations.
Managing all site safety programs and procedures,including PPE,LOTO,and machine guarding.
Oversee safety incidents,and investigations,and implement corrective actions as needed.
Conduct routine safety audits and ensure compliance with BATF&E regulations.
Manage workplace injury claims and Worker's Compensation programs.
Conduct industrial hygiene activities and maintain safety data sheets (SDS).
Facilitate safety-related training and orientation sessions for new hires.
Lead hazard and risk assessments,including ergonomic evaluations and machine guarding assessments.
Develop and implement HS&E communications and safety alerts for the facility.
Collaborate with corporate safety personnel and participate in site staff meetings to drive safety initiatives.
Conduct off-site visits to audit,train,and assist in HS&E functions as necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Health,Safety,Occupational Safety,Industrial Hygiene,or related field.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively lead safety initiatives.
Excellent interpersonal and analytical communication skills,both written and verbal.
Proficiency in interpreting industry regulations and implementing compliance strategies.
Familiarity with national,state,and local HSE regulations and management systems.
Pay
$70K - $90K Per Year
*Schedule *
Monday to Friday with every other Friday off | Flexible hours between 7:00am - 4:30pm
