Description

This is an individual contributor role responsible for searching, analyzing, and evaluating records on title for land, homes, and other buildings to ensure that the title to a property is free and clear of restrictions that may affect its sale or use.

Duties

  • Examine and review searches of public records and examine titles to determine insurability condition of property title.
  • Examine copies of records, such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, vital statistics, and plat and map books to determine ownership and legal restrictions and properly condition title to ensure a title insurance policy can be issued clear of all title defects.
  • Work with underwriters to determine requirements and exceptions for the development of the title commitment.
  • Process high volume and in a multi-state environment. Further review received in the Title Exam designated Inboxes to resolve any issues or discrepancies found or fulfill a client's request.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • 1+ years of title experience.
  • Maintain flexible hours and work location.
  • Title Producer License.
  • Ability to follow all company procedures and policies including meeting the company customer service expectations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High-level customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to productively interact with peers, customers, and management.
  • Mathematical acumen to analyze complex equations.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and planning skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
