KAAS Enterprise LLC Meat Department Manager (Pittsburgh, PA) in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania

Responsible for managing grocery store meat department operations, supervising meat department team members, training team members, ensuring fulfillment of member orders, maintaining proper inventory levels and merchandise displays, complying with food safety and quality standards, and achieving meat department sales, profitability and waste goals. Responsibilities include: • Provide a high level of customer service to customer and ensures fulfillment of customer orders. • Respond to customer calls, answers customer questions and recommends meat items. • Hold department meetings to update team members on store policies and procedures. • Create work schedules and make recommendations for hiring • Responsible for performance reviews to make recommendations for promotion and separation of team members in the department. • Manage department budget, prepare reports and conduct report analysis • Train team members on standards of cutting, (including Halal meat cutting in accordance with Islamic Dietary laws) trimming, deboning, processing, weighing, wrapping, receiving and rotating meat products. • Train team member on stocking, building displays, proper rotation, and customer service • Responsible for compliance with safety, sanitation, merchandising and food quality policies and regulations. • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sanitizing equipment and following food safety regulations • Ensure that all meat products are properly labeled and stored • Meet or exceed all budgeted sales and profit goals. • Receive and inspect meat shipments. • Conduct meat inventories and orders meat supplies as needed. • Maintain a full variety of meat products according to presentation guidelines and utilizes available product movement and variety reporting and checklists. • Ensure all products are fresh and meet company quality standards. • Maintain the proper rotation of meat products • Check for out-of-date products daily and follows appropriate product salvage policies and procedures. Minimum one year of management experience in food industry including one year of experience with butchery and Halal butchery.
