Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Coralville, Iowa

Description Robert Half is seeking a permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a company's rapidly growing team. As the Accounts Payable Clerk, your duties will include matching, batching, and coding invoices, resolving A/P issues, processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, and processing checks. This dynamic department will provide you with opportunities for career growth and advancement. The Accounts Payable Clerk role is a permanent position based in the Coralville, Iowa area.

Responsibilities

  • Execute full-cycle A/P

  • Provide administrative assistance to the AP/Finance Department

  • Perform special projects as assigned

  • Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

  • Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling

  • Help with internal and external audits as required

  • Ensure compliance with company policies while carrying out daily processes and controls accurately and on time

  • Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs

  • Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis Requirements - Strong familiarity with Accounting cycle

  • Expertise in Accounting Entries

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)

  • AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred

  • Prior experience in an A/P role preferred

  • Articulate customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

  • Spreadsheet and database capabilities

  • Possess strong organizational and follow-up skills
