ROLE DEFINITION

As a Production Technician you will be specializing in thermoplastics and will engage in extrusion and blending technologies, ensuring precision and efficiency in the manufacturing process for optimal product quality

RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIPTION  ​

Your key responsibilities will be/what you’ll do:

  • Operating process related equipment and plant process control systems in a safe, environmentally responsible manner

  • Optimizing plant performance by monitoring process equipment and conditions using information systems including: temperatures, pressures, and flow rates

  • Collecting and reporting plant measurements related to performance, asset utilization, quality, costs, yield, environmental health and safety, production rates, etc.

  • Adjusting manually operated equipment based on process and lab data.

  • Determining root causes of deviations in process, product or equipment performance through use of troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis

  • Completing individual duties with a high degree of dedication to safety and environmental stewardship.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent

  • Previous experience in extrusion and/or blending technology, manufacturing, the military, or a related environment is highly preferred

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word and Excel)

  • Ability to perform basic math

  • High attention to detail

  • Follow procedures and practices to ensure a safe and efficient operation

The following are preferred:

  • Associate degree or higher

  • Other technical or manufacturing certifications

  • Proficiency in SAP

  • Forklift experience

in addition the following requirements must be met with or without accommodation:

  • Willing and able to work the night shift (6pm-6am), including overtime as needed

  • Willing and able to lift 50 lbs. (example: bags of material)

  • Willing and able to complete work that involves repetitive motion and/or repetitive lifting
