Quality Floor Inspector Position Summary The Quality Inspector I is responsible for conducting basic dimensional and visual inspections across various manufacturing processes using a range of methods and equipment. This role involves interpreting and accurately documenting inspection results, identifying and isolating non-conforming products, and adhering to company and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) guidelines. Additionally, the Quality Inspector I supports the company's Quality System, ISO standards, and medical device requirements while collaborating with different business segments and maintaining a proactive approach to customer needs and market understanding. The Quality Floor Inspector position will be working on the production floor. 1st Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am to 2:30pm or 7:00am to 3:30pm Responsibilities Quality Inspector Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections on received materials, components, and assemblies for quality, appearance, and performance.
  • Interpret and accurately document inspection results.
  • Identify and isolate non-conforming products.
  • Utilize various inspection measurement tools and equipment, including micrometers, calipers, gauges, profilometers, optical comparators, microscopes, and precision testing equipment like Tool Scope, CMM, and Vision systems.
  • Support and comply with the company's Quality System, ISO standards, and medical device requirements.
  • Follow work instructions and standard work procedures.
  • Collaborate with other business segments such as sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance.
  • Understand customer needs and target business markets.
  • Ensure proper implementation and maintenance of business systems.
  • Participate in company meetings and maintain an organized work area (5S).
  • Contribute to the Operational Excellence Program.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements, Education & Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications)

  • Basic knowledge of inspection equipment use and maintenance.
  • Ability to work from customer-supplied drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication of inspection results with team members.
  • Flexibility to prioritize production inspection needs.
  • Ability to manage multiple requirements and deadlines.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in using a microscope and hand tools.
  • Willingness to cross-train in other production areas.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Prioritization and multitasking abilities.

Desirable Requirements/Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with measuring instruments, methods, and practices, including hand tools and machine devices like CMM and Vision Systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/13485 standards.
  • Quality training or certifications.
