Description

Job Description:

  • Delivers and removes material from Operators

  • Builds and/or delivers appropriate boxes and pallets

  • Bands Redi-Pak boxes

  • Ensures that there is a transfer tag that matches the appropriate material prior to moving the material to the warehouse or finished goods area

  • Assists mill operators in unloading tables

  • Delivers tagged odd lengths (ODL) and long cut scrap to the appropriate area

  • Adds and removes work order magnets on work in progress (W/P) carts as needed

  • Sets up Burr Master so it operates effectively while maintaining proper tolerances and form for the product

  • Sets up and operates correct rolls

  • Makes boxes, labels, retrieves correct skids

  • Performs length checks

  • Performs flare testing

  • Sorts non-conforming materials

  • Tags and/or itemizes long cut scrap

  • Performs light machining and deburring using power tools

  • Maintain clean and safe work area

  • Work safely around machines with cutting/moving/pinching movements

  • Operate tow motor safely

  • A team player who supports others as needed

  • Other duties as assigned

The first priority is safety, then to ensure that the tubing meets the specifications as required by our customers, as well as internal requirements, while maintaining established safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

  • Ability to Bend, stoop, twist

  • Ability to Stand/walk entire shift

  • Frequent need to see details at a close range (within 18 inches of observer) to inspect for part conformity and/or part defect. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • High School diploma or equivalent
