Job Description of Welder:

Welder is responsible for laying out and welding fabricated material to assemble structural forms.

Duties & Responsibilities of Welder:

  • Assist in welding of fans and basic machinery operation in fabrication area
  • Welds metal parts together using appropriate processes and performing related tasks such as cutting and grinding.
  • Positions and clamps together components of fabricated metal products predatory to welding.
  • Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications using measuring instruments.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Works under minimal supervision on duties and tasks that are frequently non-routine, adapting procedures, techniques, tools, materials and/or equipment to meet special needs.
  • May periodically assist in orienting and training lower level employees.
  • Understands and complies with all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications and Requirements of Welder:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have 1 year of Welding experience
  • Must have valid Drivers License
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Must be able to pass a welding test and have own welding helmet.
  • Must be able to read blueprints or layouts.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure and know basic math skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
