Summary:

  • Research, designs, and develops computer software systems in conjunction with hardware product development.

    Principal Accountabilities:

  • Designs and codes well defined software modules for automated assembly equipment (robotic machines).

  • Uses accepted software tools and methods to test, debug and document applications.

  • Learn and integrate new hardware, software protocols, and engineering tools.

  • Provide innovation to solve complex system issues.

  • Work with GIT and Jira to collaborate with team members on project tasks.

  • Effectively works with internal and external customers to troubleshoot problems and provide timely solutions.

  • Collaborates with Electrical, Mechanical Engineering and Q&R on product performance requirements, design, test, and development activities.

    Relevant Technologies You Will Use in this Role:

  • Languages such as C++ / C#.

  • Microsoft technologies (MFC, .NET, Remoting)

  • Databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL.

  • Tools such as GIT and Jira.

  • Software vision technologies.

    Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field with 2+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • In lieu of Degree, 4+ years of relevant software engineering experience may be considered.

  • Experience with object oriented language and development.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Highly flexible, quality driven, goal oriented and able to participate in a team environment.

    Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to access and manipulate various objects, tools, or controls.

  • Position requires the ability to understand and interpret detailed documents and drawings.

  • The ability to travel to customer sites or technical conferences may occasionally be required.
