Custom Truck One Source FIELD SERVICE TECHNICIAN - Colorado Springs/Pueblo in Commerce City, Colorado

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) 5455 East 52nd Ave, Commerce City, CO 80022

Hiring a Field Service Technician with a background in truck mounted hydraulics, electrical wiring, diesel equipment used by Utility Companies.

You will cover Colorado Springs to Pueblo, Northern New Mexico and parts of Kansas. You will take CTOS truck home, and over-night travel estimated at 25% plus.

  • You will work with a variety of equipment including aerial cranes, bucket trucks, boom trucks, dump trucks, conveyors, digger derricks, pressure diggers, and aerial lifts and more.

  • Must be able to travel overnight when needed.

  • CTOS provides a Utility Truck equipped with a welder, 4-ton crane, company computer and phone.

  • You provide Mechanics tools and should have a Class B CDL or the ability to obtain one upon hire.

  • Pay based on experience, over-time as needed, healthcare plan, paid time off, 401k match, training, uniforms safety-boot & safety glasses allowance. Tool discount program and on-going Service Technician Education Program “STEP training”

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Background in hydraulic fluid power troubleshooting

  • Background in pneumatic tool troubleshooting

  • Electrical, schematic / blueprints, hydraulic, welding, and related experience

  • Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, and other diagnostic software.

  • DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing.

  • Assess, diagnose, repair, and/or replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of utility equipment manufacturers.

  • Operate and inspect machines to diagnose defects.

  • Fit bearings and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  • Diagnose faults using pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration devices.

  • Rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders.

  • Perform initial inspections, diagnostics, and parts requisition.

  • Dismantle and reassemble heavy equipment using appropriate tools.

  • Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly.

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and vehicles.

  • Ensure all equipment meets quality and safety standards.

  • Maintain accurate records of parts, services, and labor.

  • Submit work/repair orders for approval.

  • Maintain professionalism and collaborate with team members.

  • Perform other duties as directed in a professional manner.

  • Adhere to best practices for a safe work environment.

  • Attend monthly safety meetings.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • Five years of related experience. (Shop Tech and Field Tech)

  • Must hold a valid driver’s license. (CDL Class B preferred.)

  • Must have your own tools.

  • Proficient in documentation using software, meeting deadlines and schedules.
