Title: Belt Technician

Pay: $20.00/hr

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Temp-to-Hire

What you will do:

  • Build / repair belts and conveyor belt components

  • Receive and verify incoming parts, materials, and supplies; maintain stock area, follows sales orders.

  • Attention to detail on all orders, measurements, product selection and cuts.

  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Pick up and deliver orders, stock, and supplies.

  • Perform duties to fabricate, install and repair conveyor belting and systems.

  • Work in a manner that ensures the safety of everyone involved. Exercise proper care in the use of tools and equipment

  • Detect and report defective equipment, material and any improper operations or unusual conditions.

  • Observe all prescribed safety rules and regulations; maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Always represent organizations in a professional manner

  • Required to wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Attention to detail.

  • Follow directions, both verbal and written.

  • Measure twice and cut once.

  • Use of a square and measuring tape for measuring and cutting manually.

  • A desire to work and learn.

  • Ability to learn slitter, teeth cutter and press machines.

  • Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail

  • Strong mechanical background

  • The ability to interpret and verify precise measurements using a tape measure.

  • Basic math skills and computer skills

  • Mechanical Aptitude

  • Adapt to changing situations

  • Strong communication skills written and verbal

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Future work will include travel to install belt systems, working at heights and sometimes tight spaces.
