Purpose of Job: The purpose of this position is to improve the overall health of the communities we serve by overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy ensuring federal and state laws are being followed and medications is being prepared efficiently and accurately for patient use

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees the daily activities of the pharmacy department to ensure safe delivery of medications

Ensures pharmacy is complying with all State and Federal Laws and Regulations and performs annual self-inspection of the pharmacy per (WAC 246-869-190)

Ensures growth and profitability of the Pharmacy Department for respective location.

Handles and resolves customer issues, complaints, and concerns prior to escalating them to the quality department

Responsible for managing inventory and ensuring inventory related functions are completed including but not limited to cycle counts, 10 day returns and proper disposal of outdated medications.

Reviews and authorizes prescriptions with delegated prescriptive authority under state approved Collaborative Drug Therapy Agreements.

Maintains established procedures of quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and HIPAA.

Responsible for leading, managing, and professional growth and development of pharmacy staff in areas pertaining to pharmacy.

Maintains knowledge on rule presented by HRSA
