Northeast Washington Alliance Counseling Services Certified Peer Counselor in Colville, Washington

TITLE:  Certified Peer Counselor

DUTIES:  The Certified Peer Counselor's primary responsibility is to provide Peer Counseling and Case Management services to mentally ill consumers.  This includes providing activities that promote socialization, recovery, self-advocacy, development of natural supports, and maintenance of community living skills. Services also include assisting with teaching skills of daily living, assuring access to medical/psychiatric services, and completing clinical paperwork including Peer Support Service Plans, and progress notes.

* MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:*  A consumer or past consumer of mental health services is job requirement.  Applicant must be eligible to become licensed with the Washington State Department of Health as a Agency Affiliated Counselor (can be obtained after hire).  Must be a Certified Peer Counselor (can be obtained after hire) as defined by Washington State Health Division.  High school graduate or GED required. Must have good written & oral communication skills and be able to complete administrative & clinical records. Computer literacy desirable -- clinical software used. Abstract of driving record for past three years required. Satisfactory criminal history backgrounds check results are a condition of employment. 

SALARY AND BENEFITS:  Annual salary $52,344.00 -- $70,272.00.  Full time employees (and their families) receive $1100 per month for enrollment in company medical, dental, and vision as well as employer paid life insurance with voluntary plan options, Washington State Retirement Plans and deferred compensation plans, 12 paid holidays per year and start at 12 hours of paid time off per month.
