Customer Alliance Program(CAP) Coordinator

The CAP Coordinator provides on-site support of customer's inventory at various account locations and proactively pursues new business in partnership with the Account Manager.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for all vendor managed inventory(VMI) related business & operational issues:
    • Drives to customer sites; delivers and stocks order per account specifications.  Plans route and independently schedules workflow. Keeps on-site bins clean and uncluttered.
    • Completes physical inventory for predetermined items at VMI site; creates a replenishment order to restock bins and maintain set inventory levels.  Monitors inventory usage in order to make suggestions for changing reorder points.
    • Maintains scanner and keeps files related to VMI accounts up to date.
    • Maintains record of activities pertaining to VMI including an up-to-date Customer contact list
    • Verifies the order writing and pulling process with the Operations team.
    • Communicates through various channels (in person, written, email, fax, telephone) when placing orders with the customer and internal departments (sales, customer account specialist, warehouse, returns, etc.)
    • Maintains the VMI/CAP Database for each assigned account.
  • Maintains constant communication with Account Managers, (status of the account, projects, problems) and participates in sales calls.
  • Responsible for consignment agreement compliance, (quarterly cycle counts, semi-annual physical inventory and review of items to be purchased or returned).
  • Oversees and executes in the initial reorganization project with:
    • The physical movement of inventory
    • Shelf set-up
    • Data collection
    • Part number cross reference research
    • The labeling of bins and shelves
  • Pursues new business opportunities through sales initiatives within the VMI group and by monitoring items supplied by competitors and determining the ability to convert items to Mc-Mc products. 
  • Maintains delivery vehicle and coordinates necessary repairs and maintenance.
  • Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions product weighing up to 40 pounds unassisted when stocking, loading or unloading products.  Typically bends, stoops and/or crouches on a regular basis from various heights to stock or deliver product to a customer.
  • Assists in all other areas of VMI operations as needed.
  • Respects various safety standards at all customer facilities
  • Operates forklift:  proper training and certification required.  May also use material handling equipment (including pallet jack, dollies, handcart and conveyor). 
  • Assists in creating, implementing and revising work procedures and instructions.

     

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities include:

  • High school diploma required; Associate degree preferred or demonstrated progression toward degree completion
  • 2+ years of Sales experience with an entrepreneurial mindset usually obtained through Mentoring program, Counter Sales or Inside Sales support position with knowledge of Mc-Mc products and warehouse operations.
  • Proven multi-tasking organizational skills.
  • Intermediate skills with Microsoft Office products (including Word and Excel) and Trend
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to independently obtain objectives and be self-directed.
  • Valid driver's license for region of business operation with a good driving record. Michigan applicants are required to have a valid chauffeur's license.
