JPMorgan Chase Technology Operational Risk Management Senior Associate in Columbus, Ohio

As a Technology Operational Risk Management Senior Associate on the Compliance, Conduct, and Operational Risk (CCOR) Team, you will conduct quality assurance oversight of compliance with CCOR policies and standards in our Practices group within the Transformation and Execution team. The Practices team is responsible for the execution against the CCOR Tech & Cyber (CCOR T&C) Program. In this role, you will serve as the lead coordinating oversight and ensuring the CCOR T&C team is following CCOR policies and standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Partner with CCOR T&C team members to ensure activities are appropriate and clearly documented and leverage expertise of risks and controls to challenge whether the activities and documentation is appropriate, thorough, and consistent with standards

  • Ensure outcomes are clearly documented and reflect the appropriate details

  • Analyze and assess challenges and issues identified by CCOR T&C for both control and risk themes and identify thematic observations

  • Perform quality assurance of CCOR activities ensuring the verification that sustainable processes are in place and operating effectively to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence

  • Conducts appropriate meetings to ensure timing requirements are met

  • Communicates and reports on newly identified CCOR T&C challenges, issues, and upcoming validations

  • Execute on-going monitoring of compliance with firm-wide policies and standards to ensure adherence to requirements across CCOR T&C and matters requiring monitoring and escalation

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to communicate and influence management on all levels

  • Demonstrates solid project management skills

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Risk, Compliance and Audit background preferred; Technical experience is a plus
