SUMMARY: Applies principles of accounting to assist with various accounting responsibilities including variance analysis, month end close, accounts payable, fixed assets, and hourly payroll.

SCOPE/SUPERVISION: Does not have direct reports.

Responsibilities

· Monthly closing, journal entries and related activities.

· Various monthly and quarterly account reconciliations/analysis.

· Interaction and processing of accounts payable and ensuring controls are met in the proper auditing and accounting for various invoices and check request documents. Focus on ERS implementation.

· Budget review and analysis.

· Process fixed asset capitalizations, transfers, and reporting.

· Weekly processing and oversight of hourly payroll.

· Various monthly accounting duties and responsibilities.

· Special projects as required, including process improvements.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting.

· One to two years accounting experience preferred.

· Good knowledge of all aspects of general accounting.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word).

· Ability to handle many tasks at a given time and work effectively with others in a team environment.
