At CESO, a Job Captain is responsible for leading the building design effort from start to finish and manages the production of building construction documents in accordance with applicable codes and regulations. In addition, you will interact with clients and project managers to understand project needs and work as well as provide the first round of quality assurance. You will have primary responsibilities that include: • Meet with Project Managers and clients to understand project goals, budgets and to assist in preparation of proposals. Solicit partner proposals for SMEP and coordinate their efforts • Lead and manage architectural projects from preparation of concepts and design development through complete construction documentation that includes specifications, materials, color, furniture, fixtures, equipment, and estimated costs • Perform life-safety analysis and code reviews of existing and new builds to ensure design will comply with adopted codes • Perform contract or construction administration associated with architectural services to include RFIs, shop drawing reviews, pay application reviews, construction observations and/or final SF verification surveys • Perform field measurement and site visits as required to document existing conditions for renovation projects • Lead the due diligence research and permit submission process • Coordinate, communicate and track project milestones with clients, team members, jurisdictional authorities, contractors, etc. throughout projects • Develop project schedules and coordinate production and initial quality control review of construction documents • Facilitate internal and external meetings including Planning and Zoning Board meetings and meetings with other Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) as needed • Understand design time and cost parameters, project financial metrics (multiplier, earned value, etc.) and work with Project Managers to keep projects within budget and on time • Review operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures • Perform other project duties as assigned Position requirements include: • Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience assisting with managing of projects in a design and construction related field; or in lieu of a degree, 10+ years of related experience and/or training • Architectural License preferred • LEED Certification preferred • Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit • Knowledge of Newforma and Microsoft Office Suite Benefits and Perks Include: • Flexible and Hybrid Work Schedule • Paid Time Off – Credited to You 100% Upfront • Paid Holidays • Medical / Dental / Vision Coverage including High Deductible Health Plan • Welcome Box • Rewards and Recognition Program • 401K with a Company Match • Casual Dress Code • Reimbursement for Professional Licenses • Paid Time Off for Community Team Service Events • Short-Term / Long-Term Disability • Employee Assistance Program • Paid Maternity / Paternity Leave • Employee events such as lunches and outings to foster a positive work environment CESO is a principle-centered organization that aligns with strong service values, integrity, and authenticity.
