First Commonwealth Regional President in Columbus, Ohio

As the region's primary leader, the Regional President is the also the primary business development catalyst in a region. S/He is dedicated to First Commonwealth's vision and mission, meeting short-term goals, directing long-term strategies and advocating for regional resources. Chief accountability is to profitably and judiciously grow Corporate Banking loans and deposits and recruit and lead the regional Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) teams. In addition, the Regional President is the driving force of teamwork and partner collaboration within the region. By working in tandem with business partners to deliver Financial Confidence and introducing First Commonwealth's products and services, we will meet all of our clients' financial needs, both for their businesses and their families. The Regional President is an engaged member of the communities we serve and is strategically active in leadership groups, civic organizations and community activities across the region. S/He is responsible for market penetration and driving brand awareness in all communities within their region and managing the region's Corporate Banking portfolios to ensure that growth, credit quality and loan structure standards are met and maintained. Essential Job Responsibilities_ 1. Acts as the primary leader and driver of business and brand development in his/her region. 2. Demonstrates how to take the entire Bank to market in order to win, and encourages others to emulate this behavior. 3. Thinks beyond individual lines of business and advocates for regional resources in order to meet short-term and long-term goals and penetrate the market. 4. Profitably and judiciously grows Corporate Banking loans and deposits within region by driving strategy, recruiting and leading the regional Commercial & Industrial (C&I) and Commercial Real Estate (CRE) teams. 5. Drives teamwork and partner collaboration within region. Works in tandem with business partners (i.e., Financial Solutions Network, SBA, Mortgage Lending, Wealth Management, First Commonwealth Insurance Agency) to deliver Financial Confidence and meet all of our clients' financial needs, both for their businesses and their families. 6. Strengthens relationships with key accounts and Centers of Influence by taking a horizontal view of their relationships and meeting the needs of the "whole" client, not just the commercial needs. 7. Manages the region's Corporate Banking portfolios to ensure that growth, credit quality and loan structure standards are met and maintained. Evaluates the portfolios and analyzes developing trends. 8. Works with team to ensure approved loans and delinquency reports are reviewed and that loan policies and procedures are understood and followed. 9. Engages in the communities we serve and is strategically active in leadership groups, civic organizations and community activities across the region. 10. Directs event sponsorship opportunities and provides a well-rounded bank presence when coordinating events and entertaining Corporate Banking clients. 11. Works closely with Credit Administration, including Credit Analysis and Special Assets in order to address concerns and mitigate potential losses. Bona Fide Occupational Qualifications 1. A Bachelor's degree in Business or Finance related field, and/or equivalent experience is required, Master's Degree is preferred. 2. A minimum of ten (10) years of proven corporate banking production and management experience, with an emphasis in C & I, including sales, credit analysis, and asset-based lending. 3. Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to manage across multiple locations are required, as is the ability to work and problem solve independently. 4.
