Pharmacy Technician Specialist Educator - Inpatient Pharmacy Requisition ID 2024-48431 Category Allied Health Overview Pharmacy Technician Specialist Educator - Inpatient Pharmacy The Pharmacy Technician Educator is responsible for all specified technical aspects of pharmacy including assistance with orientation and onboarding, continuing education, and competency assessment of technicians and transporters. In collaboration with members of the Pharmacy Administration team, the Pharmacy Technician Educator ensures high standards of care, thorough proper didactic and practical applications, as well as comprehensive knowledge-, skill-, and attitudes-based training requirements. The Pharmacy Technician Educator is responsible for assessing, planning, and evaluating educational programming and services required for all levels of technician and transporter staff to meet role expectations. The Pharmacy Technician Educator must demonstrate competencies defined in Pharmacy technician responsibilities in providing safe and effective sterile and non-sterile preparation and processing of drug distribution and dispensing necessary for Nationwide Children's Hospital patient population needs. This position will require approximately 4-6 days per pay period. At least 50% of these days will be spent with direct observation of new or current technician workflow. The remainder of the time will be spent on more administrative duties including education planning, review and updates of training documents and materials.
