Responsibilities * Tests visual acuity, stereo vision, and color vision. Conducts visual field testing using both the Goldman Perimeter and Humphrey Visual Fields Analyzer. * Evaluates ocular anatomy, ocular motility and papillary responses. Assists physicians with exams and procedures as needed. * Performs autorefraction. * Performs ophthalmic photography both external and fundus photos * Accurately records information in EMR according to established standards and physician's requirements * Cares for and maintains ophthalmic instruments and equipment. * Provides instruction to patient/care giver within the limits of his/her knowledge as directed by the physician. Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Certifications: Certification as a COA, required within one year of hiring. Skills: * Strong written and verbal communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills. * Positive customer service skills.
