GovCIO OpenShift Platform Plus (OPP) Implementation Specialist in Columbus, Ohio

Overview

GovCIO is currently hiring foran experienced Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus (OPP) Implementation Specialist to join our dynamic team. This position will be a full remote position.

Responsibilities

  • OPP Deployment: Install and configure Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus (OPP) in a multi-datacenter environment, ensuring high availability, security, and performance within 120 days of arrival for the primary site and 60 days for the secondary site.Effort will include the design, plan, and documentation ofallthe deployment steps to implement OPP across multiple data centers, addressing redundancy, disaster recovery, and scalability.

  • Integration: Integrate OPP with various systems and applications, including automation and orchestration tools.

  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and fine-tune the OPP environment for optimal performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with relevant industry and judiciary standards and regulations.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the OPP implementation, configurations, procedures and disaster recovery plans.

  • Production Continuity: During the implementation of the new environments, upgrades and enhancements, continuity of operation without impact to system services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field with 12+ years(or commensurate experience)

Required Skills and Experience

  • 4+ years of proven, hands-on experience implementing and supporting with Red Hat OpenShift Platform Plus (OPP) or OCP (OpenShift Container Platform) in enterprise-level environments.

  • Must have RedHat/OpenShift, OPP (OCP) on prem version, engineering experience to help rebuilding the west coast environment

  • Self motivated to rebuild environment from scratch across 2 data centers

  • Strong understanding of implementing containerization technologies (Docker), Kubernetes orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, DevSecOps/DevOps practices and Red Hat OpenShift with automation within OCP/OPP.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Clearance Required: Must be able to obtain and maintain AOUSC Public Trust

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification.

Posted Pay Range

The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity. The total compensation package for this position may also include other compensation elements, to be discussed during the hiring process. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the GovCIO reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, GovCIO or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Posted Salary Range

USD $180,000.00 - USD $190,000.00 /Yr.
