Marketing Proposal Manager

Job Summary: The Proposal Manager will be responsible for managing bid and proposal development process, ensuring the timely and accurate completion of bids, proposals in response to RFPs, RFQs, and other solicitations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the construction industry, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming bids and summarize and create ongoing checklist for the director of estimating. Develop and manage proposal schedules, ensuring timely submission of all deliverables. Coordinate and lead proposal review meetings, ensuring adherence to timelines and milestones.

  • Create and manage supplier profiles in various client databases.

  • Collaborate with project managers and estimators, and other subject matter experts to gather necessary information and develop comprehensive, high-quality bids, proposals and qualifications.

  • CRM Administration: Oversee all aspects of user and license management, including new user setup/deactivation, roles, profiles, permissions and setting up and running reports. supporting users, entering, and managing data, delivering actionable analytics and reports.

  • Organize and manage team folders and sites and implement best practices and process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the proposal development process.

  • Maintain and write resumes, project profiles, statement of qualifications, prepare client presentations adhering to the company brand guidelines.

  • Maintain marketing databases, track expenses, and assist in administrative duties related to marketing operations.

    Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in proposal management within the construction industry.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, terminology, and industry standards.

  • Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and proposal management software.

  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • APMP certification or equivalent.

  • Experience with CRM systems and databases.
