Job Title: Fiber Designer

Job Description

As a Fiber Designer, you will be responsible for developing and designing detailed Outside Plant (OSP) system layouts. This includes route analysis, fiber optic cable placement, both pole line and underground conduit systems, and other related infrastructure. Your role will involve telecom design and documentation of OSP and Fiber design, creating detailed drawings and maps using GIS and CAD software, and working closely with municipal authorities to obtain necessary permits. You will also perform field surveys, monitor project progress, and analyze materials to optimize network performance.

Responsibilities

•Develop and design detailed OSP system layouts, including route analysis, fiber optic cable placement, pole line and underground conduit systems, and other related infrastructure

•Telecom design and documentation of OSP and Fiber design, documentation, specifications, and construction administration

•Perform field surveys and site visits to collect data and assess potential construction challenges

•Create detailed drawings and maps using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software

•Work closely with municipal authorities and other utility services to obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations

•Monitor project progress, providing updates and adjustments to designs as needed to address field changes or challenges

•Analyze and select appropriate materials and technologies to optimize network performance and cost-efficiency

•Partnering with senior designers for final drawings and calculations

•Researching design solutions and industry best practices
