Overview
The Drop Lot Coordinator is responsible for managing movement of all yard and shuttle drivers, keeping up with dock moves as assigned by Mars, managing trailer pulls from Fisher Road Plant, Landair Warehouse and West Jefferson Warehouse (Empties, Raws and Pack Returns), and keeping computer work current and fill out shift report. The DLC is also responsible for Driver Turnover, Equipment Maintenance (PM Services, Inspections), and Safety (Safety Training, Accident Reports, Random Drug).
Responsibilities
- Check in all inbound/outbound trucks (inspection of all trailers, containers and tankers) Timestamp all inbound and outbound paperwork
- Manage all inbound/outbound dock moves, as instructed
- Manage the coordination of the moves and delegate moves to the yard drivers Coordinate all mechanical/maintenance issues with Landair approved vendors and assure substitute equipment in place as needed
- Manage off hours forklift maintenance
- Report all accidents immediately to the account manager and Landair Corporate Safety Manager
- Manage trailer inventory for both Landair and outside carriers
- Perform daily yard checks, annotating trailer number and locations, as well as proper location of unused trailer jacks and chocks
- Keep inventory for specific items that are needed on a daily basis.
- Front line for inbound security at the gate
- Safety/security checks on yard
- Investigate situations where there are passengers present in inbound vehicles
- Secure gates when not in use
- Manage all outbound load paperwork
Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of Covenant Transport Services
Qualifications
- Able to manage people effectively
- Work in a fast paced environment
- 4 Years Relevant Experience
- AS400 and Red Prairie experience, a plus

The system will be objective and non-discriminatory. Pay Range: $42,105.93-$65,389.86 Pay Grade: 6
