The Salvation Army Day Camp Summer Site Coordinator in Columbus, Ohio

Overview

Classification : T emporary, Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 35 hrs/week, May 22, 2024, and ending August 7, 2024.

Schedule: Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

Salary : $17.00 per hour

Job Focus: This position provides leadership to the Learning Center summer program at one of the Learning Center sites, including direct supervision of program assistants and all paid or volunteer tutors, and implementation of curriculum and program evaluations.

Qualifications

  • An understanding of and passion for The Salvation Army’s Mission

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Child Development or comparable preferredORprevious experience working with school age children

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving skills

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal skills

  • Patient and energetic

  • Experience supervising staff and volunteers preferred

  • Ability to maintain ODJFS standards for employees and program operation if applicable

  • Valid Ohio Driver’s license and the ability to obtain and maintain driving privileges per Salvation Army insurance standards (if driving is a requirement)
