Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for the credit support operations including fulfillment, due diligence, loan closing, funding, and servicing activities supporting business originations across all channels in the Regional Bank including Branch, Mass Small Business, Regional Bank, SBA, and Practice Finance. Responsible for the ongoing design, development and execution of growth initiatives for back-office efficiencies and continuous improvement. Responsible for adherence to all laws, regulations, compliance, and bank policies executed by the fulfillment teams. Develops and implements strategies to maximize profitability, reporting and scorecards to manage with transparency and consistency, and meets internal and external customer needs to improve the delivery effectiveness of the business lending segments. Coordinates all training programs, capacity models, and incentives. Works with business units, including regional management, to implement initiatives. Attends regional meetings. Evaluates strategy effectiveness and recommends changes in overall direction. Works with executive leadership in strategic growth, M&A, BPO, and technology plans. Responsible to regulators and executive committees.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the regional bank lending operations fulfillment process to SLA’s, quality, and performance statistics tied to transparent scorecards and capacity models that support the segment.

  • Responsible for managing Senior Managers who represent critical pieces of the lending operations processes and over 300 colleagues who perform the exercises in complete compliance to legal and bank policies.

  • Leads PSRA review and presentation for applicable sales strategies and initiatives in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners.

  • Interacts with senior management and key stakeholders to determine segment information needs and lead a centralized team that develops flexible, informative reports and tools to support reporting needs within multiple business lines in business lending.

  • Ensures business intelligence from across the organization is smoothly integrated across roles and departments.

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and ensuring consistent procedures for the back-office functions.

  • Responsible for driving and implementing continuous improvement strategies for one or more business lines in collaboration with the Regional Bank, SBA, Practice, Small Business Lending and Branch teams.

  • Aligns sales support and service goals, plans, and scorecards to ensure support of strategic initiatives.

  • Responsible for recruiting, training, and ensuring consistent procedures for the back-office functions. Directs and guides business lending back-office colleague training initiatives and content.

  • Leads PSRA review and presentation for applicable sales strategies and initiatives in collaboration with Legal, Risk, and Compliance partners.

  • Interacts with senior management and key stakeholders to determine segment information needs and lead a centralized team that develops flexible, informative reports and tools to support reporting needs within multiple business lines in business lending.

  • Ensures business intelligence from across the organization is smoothly integrated across roles and departments.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • 12+ years of related experience as a manager of Business Credit and/or Operations

  • Prior Senior Level Management of complex colleague processes

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six-Sigma

  • Experience in Operational Score Card Management, Six Sigma, or similar programming
