Our client is a trusted partner in the Biotechnology industry and is seeking an Animal Technician to join their hardworking team!

Located in North Columbus, OH

Pay Rate : $25/hr

Shift: 1st shift

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Multiple injection techniques including IV, IM, IP, and SQ

  • Assist in monitoring, observing, and performing treatments within the animal facility

  • Following and drafting standard operating procedures for techniques and procedures per GLP guidelines

  • Communicating regularly with Lead study technicians, vivarium manager and vivarium team

  • Maintaining appropriate record keeping per GLP and animal welfare guidelines

  • Operate equipment and use supplies according to safety guidelines.

  • Perform all other related duties as assigned

  • Work on rotating weekend/holiday schedule

Desired Skills and Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in scientific discipline

  • LAT, LATG certification preferred or achieve certification status within 6 months

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Experience working with rodents

  • Must avoid contact with rodent species outside of work.
