ASM Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an excellent and immediate opening for an Accounting Coordinator for the Greater Columbus Convention Center. This position is responsible for coordinating the Accounts Receivable process of the Finance department along with other accounting duties related to the monthly financial process.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process customer invoices for completed events and other activities
  • Set up new customers within accounting system
  • Prepare deposit reports & record deposits within accounting system
  • Record daily parking revenue within accounting system
  • Maintain and update A/R aging report
  • Responsible for collections on all A/R accounts
  • Actively coordinates with Finance, Sales, and event department to ensure collection of license agreement deposits
  • Maintains all customer and vendor files, respond to inquiries and research discrepancies
  • Maintains financial spreadsheets relating to deposits/payments received which will be used by the department
  • Support year-end audit functions and assist with other projects as needed
  • Back up to Accounts Payable and Payroll duties
  • Must have the ability to interact with guests in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner. This includes initiating contact with guests within 10 feet -- i.e., smiling, saying "Good Day', or aiding when needed.
  • Must feel comfortable with around large groups or speaking to a guest.
  • Understands the importance of providing customer service and in understanding of "The Magic is in the details."     
  • All other assigned duties.

Education

 

  • Associate Degree in accounting, business or finance preferred or equivalent accounting experience           

     

Skills and Abilities

 

  • Excellent communication, organizational and people skills
  • Strong computer skills with spreadsheet experience required
