Definition
The primary working hours for this position will be after 2:00pm.
Under general direction, is responsible for supervising emergency communication trainers, quality assurance staff, and/or supervisors; performs related duties as required.

Supervises assigned staff, to include preparing work schedules, making assignments, approving leave requests, conducting performance evaluations, and initiating disciplinary actions;
Oversees the administrative and operational activities of assigned area, including the 911 Emergency Communications Center, basic and advanced training, floor operations, quality assurance, Right Response Unit, and other specialty units within the 911 Emergency Communications Center;
Assists in strategic planning initiatives and develops various operating policies and procedures in conjunction with the overall mission, goals, and objectives assigned to the 911 Emergency Communications Center;
Makes recommendations regarding the Standard Operating policies and procedures;
Conducts operations analysis and reports; provides operational, technical, and policy guidance to staff;
Serves as a liaison between the 911 Emergency Communications Center and the Public Safety Emergency Safety Center, the Department of Public Safety, other departments and divisions, and other internal or external stakeholders;
Directs and monitors application to, and compliance with, public safety communication program(s); manages CALEA and State Public Safety Answering Point service-level requirements; manages regulatory and administrative rule compliance;
Coordinates communications, document distribution, and signoffs regarding certifications and continuing education; ensures state mandated continuing education units requirements are met;
Monitors the Emergency Call Tracking System; analyzes statistical data regarding trends in emergency calls;
Manages the investigation and preparation of written reports regarding complaints and employee misconduct;
Coordinates with Computer Aided Dispatch Support, Radio Systems Support, and 911 Telephony Support;
Manages the Everbridge System and Emergency Notification Guide; ensures timely emergency notifications and reviews notifications for quality and accuracy;
Oversees the coordination of critical and unusual operational situations; monitors radio channels, directs 911 Emergency Communications Center personnel as needed to support public safety forces.
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in emergency communications as a supervisor, trainer, or quality assurance lead.
Possession of a valid driver’s license.
