POSITION: Customer Service Clerk City of Columbus

The City of Columbus has a current job opening and is accepting applications for the position of a fulltime Customer Service Clerk.

This is clerical work in the application of bookkeeping principles, and specialized clerical work in the Utility Billing Office. An employee in this class is responsible for varied bookkeeping and clerical tasks. Work is performed under general supervision of the Customer Service Supervisor, and the employee exercises some independent judgment in the completion of assigned tasks. Work is reviewed through internal checks, controls for accuracy and adherence to procedures and work schedules.

[Position requires high school diploma or possession of a GED Certificate, [supplemented by course work in bookkeeping and/or accounting. [Considerable experience in accounting support work. Bilingual communication is a plus. Pay Range is $19.95 - $26.92 and offers a competitive benefit package.
