ABB Inc Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift in Columbus, Mississippi

This is a job for a Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift position with a company located in the Columbus, MS area.

Responsibilities: Foster a culture where safety is priority, and procedures and policies are followed. Be a representative of management that portrays a professional attitude and supports the ABB goals and objectives. Provide leadership, direction, training and administration for anyone assigned to their department. Operate in compliance with OSHA and MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) Standards. Have high expectations for all employees and be consistent in all employee relation matters while not accepting poor performance in any area. Work with all other departments, supervisors, and managers to solve problems and accomplish plant goals. Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, counseling and discipline direct reports. Enforce general handbook policies fairly and consistently.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED with minimum 6 years of manufacturing experience OR associate's degree with minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience OR Bachelor's Degree with minimum 2 years of manufacturing experience. Preferred Experience Includes: Knowledge of basic CNC (Computer Numerical Controlâ) machining - SAP, Kronos, Lean Certification. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Understand manufacturing concepts, processes and Flex Flow and Lean concepts. Able to handle multiple tasks, changing priorities and perform well under pressure. Willing to attend leadership and continuing education classes. Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
