M1 Support Services LP Metal Trades Assistant (111513) in Columbus, Mississippi

This is a Metal Trades Assistant position with a company in Columbus, MS.

Summary: Must possess an in-depth mechanical background and have mechanical ability.  Must possess the knowledge and capability to select and use common hand tools used to perform aircraft/turbojet engine maintenance. Completion of high school or the equivalent is required. A basic or specialized course in a mechanical maintenance career field is desired. A knowledge of aircraft/turbojet engine maintenance will be provided by classroom and on-the-job training. Satisfactory completion of the company provided training is required. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.  Must be able to wear auditory protection devices. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license as required. Physical exertion requirement is medium. A basic knowledge of the metal working trade of the area assigned, including the use of drawings, blueprints, and maintenance instructions is required. Must have completed an approved formal metal working course. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.  When using a respirator, must be able to obtain a good face-to-facepiece seal. Must be able to obtain and maintain a flight line driver's license. Physical exertion requirement is medium.
