Job Summary:

  • The principal duty of the Shipping Logistics job is to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of shipping and managing the logistics of the engines.

  • This position will require practical application of technical knowledge.

  • Excellent interpersonal, planning and organizational skills are needed for a team-oriented work environment.

  • This will require performing shipping logistics up to and including setting up the truck for deliveries of engines/crates/stands and movements throughout the CEC campus and might be asked to run the daily truck routes between the GTF Building and the Main Building to support the production schedule.

  • The employee will be responsible for his/her daily performance and will provide feedback to the Ops Tech/Supervision on a daily basis.

  • In addition, the position requires the ability to troubleshoot the product flow process and the product produced using a variety of problem-solving techniques when required.

  • Hours: This is a 1st shift weekend position (work 36 get paid for 40) 6:30a - 7p

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand Shipping Logistics and the use of forklifts.

  • Provide complete and accurate documentation to support engine shipping logistics.

  • Meet production goals and objectives.

  • Demonstrates commitment to the EH&S program by complying with all policies and procedures, completing all required training, supporting all applicable committee activities, participating and implementing continuous improvement.

  • Coordinate with shift supervisors to ensure production goals and objectives are discussed and met on a day-to-day, shift-to-shift basis.

  • Demonstrate ability to work with Customer Service when required for engine shipment duties. Demonstrate ability to troubleshoot and resolve any problem that may arise during these activities.

  • Strong understanding of SAP

  • Ability to pass written and instructor led forklift training.

  • Ability to pass the Hazmat Course.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year experience in Warehouse and Shipping Logistics

  • Experience with SAP.

  • Experience with Microsoft office

  • Forklift experience either sit or stand.

Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
