Description

The Director of the Columbus Satellite is r esponsible for providing inspired leadership, training, and evaluation of the Enrollment and Graduation Coaching Teams and all assigned staff in the execution of core duties and responsibilities. Supervises administrative functions of the campus including student services (admissions, advising), business office (financial aid, veteran services), budgeting, purchasing, and human resources. Serves as Title IX investigator and point of contact for Cleary Act issues while administering all nonacademic disciplinary issues including the Code of Conduct and Student Honor Council; oversees campus activities/events including student life programs, clubs, and organizations. Oversees campus security operations, government vehicles and fuel cards, and facilities including property accountability, general interior business maintenance, custodial service, exterior ground maintenance/lawn service, and hazardous materials. P erforms additional duties as assigned/required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide inspired leadership in accomplishing the GMC mission to produce educated citizens and contributing members of society in an environment conducive to the development of the intellect and character of its students regardless of location or method of delivery.

  • Supervises, trains, and evaluates the Enrollment and Graduation Coaching Teams (enrollment, recruiting, admissions, advising, and new student orientation), business office (financial aid, veteran services, and bookstore), budgeting, purchases, and human resources.

  • Oversees campus security operations, government vehicles and fuel cards, and facilities including property accountability, general interior building maintenance, custodial service, exterior ground maintenance/lawn service, and hazardous materials.

  • Supervises campus direct support to the business office, financial aid, and administrative functions.

  • Performs additional administrative duties and services in other areas of responsibility as assigned.

  • Advance the four enduring strategic initiatives supporting the GMC President's Strategic Plan (Ensure Student Success, Create Opportunities, Think and Act as One Institution, and Invest in the Future of GMC.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:Bachelor's degree

  • Preferred:Master's degree

Experience

  • Required: 3 years of experience in a related field in an office setting and a supervisory role of 10 or more people.

  • Preferred: 15 years or more experience in the field and a supervisory role of 20 or more people.

Skills

  • Required: Skill in records maintenance, customer service, and oral and written communication including Public Speaking. Skill in using computers, standard administrative and financial aid software, Microsoft Office products, and other office equipment.

  • Preferred: Highly skilled in leadership and management in higher education with thorough knowledge of standard college policies and financial aid regulations including Datatel (Colleague), A/P & A/R, data entry, budget development, accounting, public speaking, and Title IX.
