Position Summary

The Parker Filtration Innovation Center is looking for a Test Engineer to work in our technical support laboratory operations team. The primary function for this position is to design and perform tests on filtration products. The position is within a multifaceted environment that works on a multitude of internal and external requests; the purpose is to better understand filtration products on the market and aid in developing the future generations of products generated within Parker.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct material analysis, root cause failure analysis, and novel research to address customer issues related to filtration technology

  • Perform general laboratory support duties including sample preparation, equipment maintenance, and data analysis

  • Design and develop new tests and experimental protocols to support customer requirements and enhance product performance

  • Utilize analytical techniques such as SEM (scanning electron microscopy), TGA (thermogravimetric analysis), FTIR (fourier transform infrared spectroscopy), and DSC (differential scanning calorimetry) for material characterization and analysis

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of projects and initiatives

  • Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation within the organization

    Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Science or Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Chemical

  • Knowledge of engineering principles and problem-solving practices

  • Able to manage multiple priorities

  • Proficiency in SEM, TGA, FTIR, and DSC techniques is highly desirable

  • Knowledge of statistical methods, standards, and execution of standards

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
