Fortive Corporation Senior Buyer/Planner in Columbia, South Carolina

Anderson-Negele is seeking a Senior Buyer/Planner to join our team in Spartanburg, SC! In this role, you will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating products throughout the entire production cycle. Additionally, you’ll evaluate and analyze data related to processes and systems. When issues arise, you’ll work to resolve problems related to inventory, production schedules, or materials shortages, and recommend procedures to prevent future occurrences. Furthermore, you’ll play a crucial role in balancing relationships between vendors, internal teams, and external customers based on supply and demand for materials and finished goods.

In this position you will:

  • Communicate and coordinate with factory manufacturers to ensure continuous supply of product, meeting quality and delivery standards

  • Resolve any vendor line stopping issues

  • Set up inventory goals and monitor, with input from appropriate partners

  • Develop action plans and counter measures with planner / buyers, development and factory teams for inventory control

  • Support purchasing team in financial objectives (PPV)

  • Participate and initiate continuous improvement through use of appropriate Fortive Business System tools

  • Participate in, coordinate or supervise the integration of new product introductions from engineering design to factory and/or from one location to another

  • Establish and maintain standard work and/or consistent training in the materials team

  • Improve inventory turns, inventory reduction and supplier on time delivery

  • Interact with various factory associates (Assemblers, Buyer/Planner, Master Scheduler, Engineers, and Production Manager)

  • May occasionally provide reports to Executive Management team

  • Forecasts requirements

  • Issues periodic reports on trends

    On your first day, we’ll expect that you’ll have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain/Logistics, Engineering or commensurate experience (5+ years)

  • 3-5 years of experience in a related field is preferred.

  • Demonstration of continuing education in purchasing/planning, and supply chain.

  • Understanding of lean concepts and experience with Kanban preferred.

National: The salary range for this position is $67,700 - $125,900

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location. The Total Rewards package includes competitive base pay and an opportunity to enroll in a variety of benefit programs, generally including health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement savings plans, life and disability insurance programs, and several programs that provide for both paid and unpaid time away from work.
