JOB SUMMARY

*If living within a 50 mile radius of a Highmark location (PA, DE, WV or NY) this is hybrid role in office 3 days a week.

This role is part of the Solutions Insights and Validation (SIV) team within the larger Product and Health Experience (PHE) organization. PHE aims to deliver exceptional health experiences through user-friendly products and solutions using the power of data and innovative features to engage customers and clinicians. This role oversees the design and execution of Measurement and Evaluation Plans (MEPs) for all PHE solutions which identify key performance indicators of customer/clinician experience, clinical, cost, and operational outcomes to provide insight and inform strategic decision making.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of a comprehensive Measurement & Evaluation Plan (MEP), which captures all key performance metrics and articulates a plan for data collection & analysis as well as the schedule for insights & analysis reporting for each of the solutions within their assigned portfolio of work. Consult with team members or other enterprise partners in the evaluation of clinically innovative solutions and build buy-in for solution measurement approach with key matrixed Enterprise or partner stakeholders.

  • Manage stakeholders enterprise wide throughout the lifecycle of a solution as it relates to identifying and aligning on solution business objectives, key metrics, targets, data collection timelines, analysis and insights timelines and deliverables within the MEP. Broad stakeholder management including product owners, vendor and industry partners, clinicians, analytic partners marketing, finance, client facing teams, other health system partners.

  • Consult with internal product owners during the solution design phase to ensure that the appropriate data collection methods are in place and that data sources will be available for post-launch measurement & evaluation purposes. Includes consulting on vendor contracting, enterprise data operations and storage, collection of data via enterprise clinical programs, etc.

  • Partner with Enterprise Analytics teams to plan, implement, and maintain the Living Health solution dashboards with the appropriate solution performance data. Manage the delivery of the dashboards according to time and quality, including requirement gathering, beta testing with key stakeholders and publishing results to a broad audience. Lead regular discussion and interpretation of monthly dashboard results. Ongoing maintenance and enhancement of key analyses.

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Analytics partners to prepare and present deep dive Insights and Analysis Reports on the solutions within their portfolio. Develop solution performance insights with internal product owners to inform solution enhancements and drive strategic decision making. Drive milestone-based outcome reporting through coordination with the matrixed analytic team and lead the creation and finalization of each deliverable while extracting insights from ongoing and completed studies to develop the adoption and engagement strategy for the solution into the health system.

  • Actively advance dissemination of insights and study outcomes including preparation and review of data and reports for internal and external presentations, executive audiences, as well as manuscripts (co-authorship) for publication.

  • Build and maintain a portfolio of solution Measurement & Evaluation plans, key performance indicator dashboards, other analyses and insights.

EXPERIENCE

Required

  • 5 years work experience, with some exposure to innovation or healthcare related fields, OR

  • 3 years work experience post graduate degree, with some exposure to innovation or healthcare related fields

Preferred

  • 3 years in payer, hospital system, or care delivery industry

  • 3 years of influencing change in complex organizational systems

  • 3 years around the research setting, preferably clinical research

SKILLS

  • Measurement and evaluation research plan development and key performance metrics (study design, research)

  • Demonstrated stakeholder management and influence, and teamwork skills

  • Project Management

  • Strong quantitative and analytic skills for the coordination of analytics deliverables

  • Creation of insights reporting and information sharing (communication and writing- executive presentation skills)

  • Commitment to self development and the development of others

EDUCATION

Required

  • Bachelors degree in general science, life/health related science degree or related disciplines or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

  • Masters degree in general science, life/health related science degree or related disciplines

Pay Range Minimum:

$67,500.00

Pay Range Maximum:

$124,800.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
